What is a peshtemal?

A peshtemal (pronounced pesh-te-MAL) is a traditional Turkish towel, flat-woven from premium cotton. Unlike thick terry cloth towels, peshtemals are thin, lightweight, ultra-absorbent, and dry 3x faster. They have been used in Turkish hammams for over 600 years.

Are your products really handmade?

Yes. Every peshtemal is handwoven by skilled artisans in Denizli, Turkey. Our soaps are handcrafted using traditional cold-press methods. We work directly with artisan families.

What materials do you use?

100% Turkish cotton for our towels and robes. Our soaps use pure olive oil, laurel oil, and natural ingredients only — no synthetic chemicals, no parabens, no artificial fragrances.

Care & Maintenance

How do I wash my peshtemal?

Machine wash cold on gentle cycle. Tumble dry low or hang dry. Do not use fabric softener — Turkish cotton naturally softens with each wash. For the first 2-3 washes, wash separately as slight color bleeding is normal.

How long do peshtemals last?

With proper care, a quality peshtemal lasts 5-10 years. The cotton fibers actually strengthen over time, making your towel more durable the longer you use it.
